Coast Guard crews responding to fire in Ipswich, Mass.

BOSTON — Coast Guard crews are responding to a building fire on the Ipswich River Friday.

A 25-foot boat crew from Coast Guard Station Merrimack River, based in Newburyport, Mass., is en route the area to search for any possible people that may be in the water, and response petty officers from Coast Guard Sector Boston's prevention department will be checking for pollution.

The Coast Guard is asking boaters to keep a safe distance from the incident to allow rescue workers to put the fire out, assist anyone in distress and tend to any pollution that may occur from the incident.
