Coast Guard donates socks to Preble Street

PORTLAND, Maine — Media are invited to attend a charity event at Preble Street in Portland Wednesday December 23, where socks collected by Coast Guard personnel will be donated to help the needy.

When: 10 a.m. Wednesday December 23, 2009.

Where: Preble Street Administration Office, 18 Portland Street, Portland, Maine, 04104

Who: Master Chief Petty Officer Ronald Latronico, Portland area Chief Petty Officer's Association
          Ms. Melanie McKean, Preble Street

 

Master Chief Petty Officer Ronald Latronico, representing the Portland area Chief Petty Officer's Association, and Ms. Melanie McKean of Preble Street will both speak at the ceremony.

"As a humanitarian service, we are please to officer help to those in need," said Latronico.
