BOSTON — The 50-foot passenger vessel Wilhelmina is currently being towed to port, Sun., Aug. 22, 2010, after it ran aground on Devil's Back in Boston Harbor.
A TowBoatUS boat crew is towing the Wilhelmina to Marina Bay where they will keep an eye on it until the owner can have it removed from the water.
The passenger boat is still taking on water and needs the pump turned on about every 15 minutes to keep it dewatered.
The tow began around 6:45 a.m., but it is unknown what time it will arrive at Marina Bay.
The Wilhelmina grounded in the same area as the passenger vessel Massachusetts that ran aground July 3, 2010.
Both groundings are being investigated by the Coast Guard.
Editor's Note: The Wilhelmina was originally reported as a recreational vessel. It has been determined it is a passenger vessel that was hired for a private party.
